Hi, I'm Robert
Hi, I'm Robert
Hi, I'm Robert, founder of Western Wild Co. My passion for the outdoors runs deep, and I want future generations, including my son, to experience the same natural wonders I enjoy.
I'm also deeply involved in social and environmental impact finance. I see the power of markets to drive change, and the sustainable outdoor gear sector is ripe for explosive growth. That's why I founded Western Wild Co. – to protect the outdoors and expand the market for sustainable goods in the outdoor industry.
This is the nexus of Western Wild Co. - fusing our love for the outdoors with a fierce commitment to its preservation for future generations.
Western Wild Co. didn't begin as a start up, but from a passion project born from the frustration of trying to navigate the existing sustainability landscape. Finding no solution, I developed my own database with hundreds of outdoor brands, evaluated their sustainability credentials, and built an app to easily search for products.
This journey yielded invaluable insights, revealing a market ripe for growth if we build a bigger tent and demystify sustainability. By fostering collaboration, not division, we can fuel market growth for a sustainable future.
My professional background at leading global impact organizations as Managing Director at the Sorenson Impact Institute and President of SOCAP Global has honed my understanding of solving complex global challenges. I believe we can apply the same principles to the sustainable outdoor industry.
I live in Salt Lake City, UT, with my wife Sarah, our son Jack, and our dog Lucca. The outdoors is our playground, and Western Wild Co. is my way of safeguarding it for them and everyone who follows.
